At times it's also a bit naff - the talky intros to the songs are very dated indeed.

If you are a DJ with a CD mixer then it's great or if you want to own some of JJ's club classics on CD - but I can't see that many people actually listening to the whole thing. Listening to e-fuelled floor fillers gets tiring and the calmer stuff in between just isn't interesting enough.

From the man who brought us some of the biggest anthems of the last few years including my personal favourite 'My Feeling' I was expecting great things, and 'Trust It' shows that Junior Jack is well on his way to becoming a household name. Probably the best track on offer within the album is 'E Samba', wah-wahing away on a tight funky groove, yet still retaining that larger-than-life summer sound.

A street life and is proud to dwell on it. This is a great album that manages to hold itself together without too much hassle; yes it could be claimed that it's slightly 'pick 'n' mix' and overly 'chart-friendly' at times, but that is perhaps its strongest asset.

The concept resulted in 16 volumes, plus a lot of spin-offs: 4 ballad volumes, 4 remix volumes, 4 Italo volumes, 3 12" megamixes (two of them by Ben Liebrand), 2 Summer volumes and an album-length megamix by the people now known as the Klubbheads DJ Team. Never before was disco music made available on CD on such a huge scale.
