In order get all money his due it is his show he must complete a single season worth of episode. The thing is, the show has Getting the money will not be easy, because technically, it all goes to his ex-wife, who absolutely hates Gavin. Lets start with the art: the cover and interior are the same! And I love the art style! You could say it had good plating XD It's got some cool cell-shading thing going on If you like the cover, you'll the interior.

Without saying what those details are, some of that information is: we know Gavin left the show but we don't why or how it kept going without him; Gavin's ex-wife would probably kill him if she could get away, and we do learn why she hates, but I leave that for you to read; Gavin also has a daughter! This world isn't post-apocalyptic, but society has turn to sh!

Not in the way nuclear bomb way, but in wealth. It is a world where And as for 0. Those are rich, that over indulge themselves to a "criminal excess". This small, overpowered rich class is the one responsible for changing ruining?

Gavin's original show while he was gone. This new show, Starve, is something else entirely, and I have a feeling that the loser of each episode could face dire consequences. However, as the first issue comes to a close, and the first competition is about the start - the comic ends with Gavin about to start his first show back, against his long time rival, who is now the 1 chef of the show - they bring out the chosen food.

It is a food of the poor people - the common people - and the two chefs must take it and elevate it to be worthy for the mouths of rich. What is this unthinkable, garbage food, that the common man eats? This first issue was great; Gavin is already a great character; I can't wait to see what this cooking comp is all about and how the rules work!

I don't know if this comic is going to be a horror, or a thriller, or a mystery, or what - all I know is I'm going to keep reading, and already have issue 2 at my side to read.

Jul 26, Derek rated it it was ok Shelves: dystopia , comic-books , read-in This is basically about a cook-off show and a famous chef clawing his way back from obscurity. And like that, my interest in it wanes. The artwork's leaves a lot to be desired and the writing is too preachy at times. Jun 15, Cara rated it it was ok Shelves: , paper-issue. I didn't hate the story, but I wasn't a fan of the art. This is a series that I might pick up in a trade, but I wasn't interested enough to keep buying single issues.

Jul 05, Dragan Nanic rated it liked it Shelves: comics. From the cover page it is clearly recognizable Zezelj. Vargas himself has refused to say anything about Nativity's fate, prompting speculation he is masterminding a risky but breathtakingly successful publicity stunt. The saga already appears on various 'urban myth' websites, mostly under the heading "undetermined". The original claim was that he paid a group of children to snatch the dog - "Natividad" in Spanish - from packs that roam the streets.

Then he used it to create the "exhibit", involved roping the dog to a fixed wire against the bare walls of one corner of the gallery. Perhaps a clue to his motive is that Vargas claimed it was an experiment to test public reaction. When that reaction exploded into international outrage, however, his story appears to have changed.

It was suggested instead that the display was designed to highlight the plight of thousands of stray dogs that die each year in Central America. Vargas is reported originally to have admitted that Nativity died casually adding that he would have died in the street anyway but later refused to confirm this.

And when animal cruelty organisations began to investigate, Codice Gallery director Juanita Bermudez insisted that Nativity escaped after one day. She added: "It was untied all the time except for the three hours the exhibition lasted and it was fed regularly with dog food, which Habacuc himself brought in. That version is different from other reports, which say the exhibition lasted much longer; that a replacement dog was brought in when Nativity died; and that visitors were effectively standing by as an animal starved.

Wherever the truth lies, it has not absolved the artist and the gallery from widespread condemnation over the use of a live animal for public entertainment in this way. Animal cruelty groups told the Daily Mail they did not want to give credence to some of the unconfirmed allegations about Nativity's treatment. The World Society for the Protection of Animals said: "All our attempts to discuss what happened with Vargas or his representatives have met with silence.

His coat is mangy with neglect and virtually every bone is visible under what is left of his emaciated body. The allegation is that he was deliberately starved to death at an exhibition.
