Maybe as someone else suggested, as part of a 30th Anniversary re-issue of this fine album. I dont really remember the whole show I saw that well, except that I had a blast and that it was very GH-heavy in the set list. I found one set list from that tour and seems very similar to what I remember. Quiet vinyl. One of the better Friday Music vinyl reissues.
I may try to get some of the other Friday Billy Joel this one impressed me that much. Their Warren Zevon was not very good. Maybe they've improved lately, and this Billy Joel was reissued after that. This sounds really close to an original. If you are familiar with the music and like it, and need a vinyl copy, consider this one. One person found this helpful. I am sure that most people buying this record already know it well. I am forty, so this record was really a bit before my time, but it was a staple on the stereo in our house we listened to a lot of music in our house when I was a kid.
If you are younger and interested, this is a good one, Billy Joel is often overlooked and underrated. Billy is in a class by himself, while everybody else was either going with Hard Rock or Disco, Billy Joel was doing something else, and he did it well. I received the original glass houses vinyl from , beautifully packaged and in excellent condition! It has no scratches nor skips at all! Additionally , I received as a bonus The Bridge vinyl by billy Joel , also in perfect condition!
They both arrived on time and work perfectly , I could not be happier! I remember when this came out Yeah I am that old Location: Ferrol, Spain. I really adore this album and is probably my favorite, maybe not the best but a personal favorite. I have fond memories of him playing live in Madrid back in and presenting the songs from this album. Particulary amazing was the performance of All for Leyna. I can clearly see him standing up while hammering over his electric piano A couple of years ago I got the clear vinyl from Friday Music, which happens to be a very good pressing and actually a pretty cool piece of my collection.

Elvis Costello long had a reputation for being the "angry young man. Fed up with inexcusable critical backlash and believing he'd still not been regarded as a serious artist, Joel ratcheted up the angst on the set that also happened to sell another seven-million-plus copies and top the Billboard charts.
In addition to firing shots at detractors, Joel further solidifies his reputation as a pop maestro on the hit "Don't Ask Me Why" and mellow classic "C'etait Toi You Were the One ," each replete with sparkling structures and shimmering melodies. Throughout, he dials down the grand gestures, focusing more on an attitude and directness.
At the time, Joel was conscious of the punk movement, and seems inspired to follow that genre's preference for simplicity, frankness, and irritability. The album's legendary artwork — the singer preparing to toss a brick through the windows of his house — is a metaphor for Joel shattering his image as a cocktail-lounge pop crooner.
The song is a "melodic, fast paced rocker. He explains that he is lonely since they are far away from each other which is implied by the fact that his phone call is "long distance".
The video starts with Joel in bed, dialing a woman's number. She then picks up the phone and the music starts playing. While on the phone, Joel sings the song's lyrics to her throughout the video.Billy Joel – Glass Houses Label: Columbia – FC , Columbia – Format: Vinyl, LP, Album Country: US Released: Genre: Rock, Pop Style: Pop Rock, Rock & Roll Tracklist A1 You May Be Right A2 Sometimes A Fantasy A3 Don't Ask Me Why A4 It's Still Rock And Roll To Me A5 All For Leyna B1 I Don't Want To Be Alone B2 Sleeping With The Television On .
