Whenever I listen to this album, I always get a serious kick of adrenaline rush. I mean this album is just heavy, fast, crazy, take no BS, in your face, headbanging old school thrash from start to finish.
His vocals on here are just angry and all out pissed off throughout. Gary Holt and Rick Hunolt are very awesome guitarists. These guys rip right through your skin with wild thrashing riffs, and crazy fast dualing solos like a race car driver going miles per hour. Rob McKillop's bass is pretty good, and Tom Hunting's drumming is just fast and all out merciless.
Bottom Line is this, if you're looking for some old school 80's thrash metal to just bang your head like freakin crazy, then by all means, you must own this album.
Jeremy's song ratings: 1. The only issue I have is the Great songs. The only issue I have is the reissue cover art. It's ugly. Red and black background with blue and yellow lettering. I like the original art but this album is awesome. That's exactly y I ordered the original alongside this one. He was a great frontman, but Zetro is my fav Exodus vocalist!! That being said, every Exodus album is great!!
I love them all!! What can I say is that 's paved the way for what new metal bands are today. Does the name ring a bell? You can also hear the influence of Kirk of Metallica in this album, in which he played before joining Metallica. This album is a must to anyone who listens metal.
Without this album, you would not have the understanding of metal. I was disappointed that this did not include the original cover art but still a great album if you want original cover art look elsewhere if you just want the great songs go for it the price was right and it sounds great.
Bonded by Blood is my all-time favorite thrash album. It's not super-technical, and the vocals are an acquired taste to some, but you just can't go any better for Bay Area thrash than this jewel right here. The vocals of Paul Baloff are classic--to me there was no better thrash vocalist. Drums and bass are executed perfectly--the rhythm section thrashes like there is no tomorrow. It is impossible to pick a favorite track on this release--they all kick ass.
Recommended purchase. See all reviews. Top reviews from other countries. Incredible debut album by Bay Area thrash legends Exodus. The pummelling title track is my personal favourite along with 'A Lesson In Violence' and 'Strike of the Beast', but there is not a weak song on the record.
Anyone who has been to an Exodus gig knows what a tight, fearsome live act they are.
Bonded by Blood is the debut studio album by the Bay Area thrash metal band Exodus. Although the album was completed in the summer of , it was not released until due to issues with Exodus and their record label. It is considered one of the most influential thrash metal albums of all time.
